An increase in dexterity marks the changes in your child’s play habits at this age. Your child will be able to bang toys together now and to move objects with purpose. As your child grows so should her toys. This is also the age where your little one will start to try and move around. Toys that help to develop her desire to move are good for this age. Soft fabric balls are good toys for all age groups. At this age she can crawl after the brightly colored ball that she desires. Stacking and knocking over blocks is always a big hit with children in this age group. Blocks made of wood and soft fabric are the toy for this type of play. For safety you will want to choose items that have no small parts that can come off of them. These can present choking hazards.
